“ While searching for an open restaurant (December, Thursday around noon, off-season at Lake Schwielo), we came across El Toro. The overall impression was solid; the staff were polite and attentive, the food was plentiful and served promptly. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the side dishes complemented the meals perfectly. They even accommodated special requests for our children. The only downside was the ketchup and mayonnaise being served in individual packets like at a gas station – that could be improved. In short: we'll definitely be back! ”

“ Where should we eat today? Oh, El Toro Steakhouse – sounds good. We decided and drove there. The small restaurant is easily accessible, and parking is available. The steakhouse has the feel of having once been a community garden restaurant. The dining room is pleasantly furnished and inviting. The owner is very friendly, always ready for a joke, and great with children. You don't have to wait long for the delicious food; the value for money is excellent. The grilled chicken breast with creamy mushroom sauce and fries, as well as the sirloin steak with pepper sauce and fries, are very reasonably priced, well-presented, and delicious. The restrooms still have a GDR-era feel, but they are clean and tidy. All in all, a visit to an attractive restaurant with excellent service and delicious food; a bit of a hidden gem... ”

“ Hi, we had dinner with the family today. We received a warm welcome, and the fireplace was a real treat during the colder months . The food was consistently excellent; the garlic bread here finally had actual garlic! The meat was grilled to perfection. The portions aren't huge, but they're still better than having to throw it away! The staff behind the counter, and presumably the owner, are a well-coordinated team and always have a little joke ready. The kids were also thoroughly entertained . We'll definitely be back.
